Creativity is a wonderful way to bring people together, try something new and enjoy the satisfaction of making something by hand. Our residents recently had the opportunity to do just that during a fantastic clay printing activity at Forest Hill House.
It was a fun and engaging session that gave everyone the chance to experiment with different textures, shapes and designs before creating their own unique printed pictures.
Exploring Creativity Through Clay
Clay is a particularly enjoyable material to work with because it provides so many opportunities to get creative. During the activity, our residents used clay to create different impressions and patterns, which were then transformed into beautiful printed pictures.
No two creations were quite the same, and that was all part of the fun. Everyone was able to approach the activity in their own way, experimenting with the materials and seeing how their ideas developed into finished pieces.

One of the loveliest parts of the session was seeing residents take pride in what they had produced.
Every print was completely unique, reflecting the different choices and ideas of the person who created it. There was a wonderful sense of achievement as the finished pictures were revealed and everyone had an opportunity to admire each other’s work.
Activities like this also create a relaxed social occasion, giving residents the chance to spend time together, chat and share the experience.
