Forest Hill House Nursing Home Memorial Garden

Grand opening of the Memorial Garden at nursing home, in Wimborne

The 29th June 2018 saw the grand opening of the new Memorial Garden at our Forest Hill House Nursing Home, in Wimborne. Special guests for the ribbon cutting included local MP, Michael Tomlinson, and Corfe Mullen’s Rev. Peter Jones. Our new Memorial Garden is home to flowers and plants in raised garden beds that represent a loved one, relatives are invited to have an engraved plaque with their chosen words to honour and remember the life of someone special.

Families gathered from Poole, Wimborne and Corfe Mullen for light refreshments and delicious homemade cake, followed by the blessing of the garden by Rev. Peter Jones. Our families loved the idea of creating a memorial garden where they can leave a thoughtful tribute in the grounds of our care home in Wimborne to a relative that has passed away.

We had such fantastic weather for the celebration and everyone had a great day at Forest Hill House Nursing Home opening the Memorial Garden. We must convey our sincere thanks to our Care Home Manager, Andy Chamberlain, and his team who put lots of hard work and effort into creating such a peaceful space.

If you are visiting a friend or relative at Forest Hill House Nursing Home take a stroll around our beautiful new garden and enjoy the variety of plants, flowers and butterflies that we have.
