Forest Hill House Residents Pay a Visit to Aunt Fanny’s

Forest Hill Nursing Home outing to Aunt Fanny's

Residents at Forest Hill House Nursing Home have been enjoying the easing of restrictions recently, and a warm sunny day provided the perfect conditions for a trip to a popular local cafe. The destination was Aunt Fanny’s Farm Shop & Café – certainly a memorable name for obvious reasons! However, you can stifle your sniggers – this charming shop & cafe was actually named after Aunt Fanny from The Famous Five series of books. She would often create delicious homemade picnics for the Five to take on their various adventures. This inspiration is clear to see in the delectable homemade treats on offer at Aunt Fanny’s.

Seated at the outside tables allowing them to make the most of the lovely weather, the residents enjoyed tea and coffee as well as some of the absolutely delicious homemade treats. The team at Aunt Fanny’s couldn’t have been more accommodating and we’re all very thankful for their amazing service.

It was a great day out which was enjoyed by all, and it was fantastic to have the opportunity to make the most of the lovely summer weather. We’re sure the residents at our nursing home in Wimborne will get to make the most of many more days like this before the summer comes to an end.
